Senior Resources

Arapahoe County is home to more than 100,000 residents over the age of 60. To assist seniors and those with disabilities in maintaining healthy, active and independent lives, the County offers various programs and partners with local governments and organizations. Light Housekeeping

Homemakers provide free light housekeeping and assistance with heavier household chores for older adults and persons with a disability. Biweekly services may include laundry, general cleaning of kitchens and bathrooms, vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, floor mopping, changing linens, washing inside windows and more. This program has income eligibility requirements. 

Chore Services staff provide fall or spring yard work, washing outdoor first-floor windows, major household cleaning or organizing projects, and more.

Transportation

VIA Mobility Services provides vehicles, equipped to support wheelchairs and various abilities, are available to provide transportation to medical appointments, dining centers, grocery stores and food banks. Sign up for services by calling 303-447-2848 (Español: 303-444-3043).
